When was the last time you filled in a web form and went ‘wow’?
Hands up anyone who’s ever told a friend about the ‘really cool web form’ they filled in recently?
Tell me, have you ever smiled (or even burst out laughing) at just what happened when you keyed data into a web form?
It doesn’t have to be this way.
Do the functional thing. Absolutely nail the form in terms
in terms of clear layout. C
risp, easily understood questions. Relevent and
timely help support. Functionality that works.
And then add something to make it emotionally engaging. Something that tells a completely different story about your organisation than the one the customer was expecting. That will make them tell someone else about it and so change the story in their head a little bit as well. And then maybe they’ll tell someone else.
Sounds like the beginning of a word of mouth campaign to me.
